Counseling2Go
Therapy in the privacy of your home.

Clients

Clients who take advantage of In-home Therapy:

-busy or discreet individuals who simply prefer the privacy and convenience of an hour appointment in their home or office.

-a child/adolescent who is home or available in the afternoons but the parent is either working or busy with other children and unable to transport the child to the session.

**State laws vary. Most permit minors 14 years and older to receive services without a parent present. Email me, Debra Borden, LCSW, at dborden@counseling2Go.com  to discuss the options for your child or adolescent.

-a child or adult temporarily confined to the home for medical or other reasons.

-a child or adolescent who is isolated for certain periods at school, such as lunch or recess, due to disciplinary sanctions.

-families who find it easier to convene all members in the home rather than at an outside location.

-a loved one who is in a long term care or assisted living facility who might benefit from additional one on one attention.

-any individual living alone, whether it is a senior citizen, challenged adult, or simply a person facing recent loss or stress and where transportation and/or socialization is limited.

Testimonials

"I thought having someone come to the house would be weird, I was a little nervous about it, but it turned out to be so comfortable. My therapist was really great and I love that I don't have to spend an extra half hour on each end getting to therapy. Sometimes I even stay in my pajamas! Why didn't anyone ever think of this before?"

Erin R., New York City

"I only got therapy because my mom and the school said I had to, my mom works really late and if I had to get to someone's office I probably wouldn't have gone because there's no one home to take me. Even though I still don't think I need therapy I have to admit that my grades are better and my mom trusts me more and there's a lot less fighting around here."

Andrea S., Ridgewood, NJ

"I couldn't believe with my schedule that I would ever have time for therapy and my four year old was way out of control but by the time I got home every day I was too exhausted to even think about strategies, let alone go somewhere to learn them. Then the In-home therapist said she could meet me at work on my lunch hour! I couldn't believe it. For one hour a week we sat in my car or hers and I felt like a VIP, having someone fit their schedule into mine like that was really a godsend. Thank you Counseling2Go!"

Deena (and Adam) C., Pearl River, NY

"I have MS and even though I'm still very active and absolutely hate to think there's anything I can't do, some days are harder than others, and the idea that I can have someone come to the house for counseling is amazing. I already have a list of people who make house calls, from dog washers to hairdressers to personal trainers. How great that I can add 'therapist' to that list. Long overdue."
