Inspired by New Jersey's Wraparound Service Model, Ms. Borden founded Counseling2Go after working as an In-home/In-community therapist for state agencies.  She realized that there was a whole segment of the population, those with private insurance, not being served by this model.  "Basically, I realized pretty quickly that now more than ever, people are overloaded and ultra busy and appreciate any service that makes life easier and the convenience of house calls is extraordinary.  Why shouldn't those with insurance be able to get services that way too?"

Ms. Borden's core philosophy is simple: "No matter the setting, helping my clients to see the gifts in the challenges they face is one of my primary goals”. As a follower of Brief or Solution-Focused therapy,  Ms. Borden believes in evidenced-based practice; she feels that progress in therapy can be measured and that it should be time-limited and empowering. “If you can’t identify working solutions and at least the beginnings of positive change, how do you know if therapy is working?  That said, ultimately, it's the strategies the client can implement by themselves, after I’m gone, that are the greatest gifts.”

Counseling 2 go is not just about convenience and privacy but measuring improvement, feeling better right away, and having a emotional blueprint and a set of plans for future challenges.
